The Cold Shots got their start in 2017 in Kansas City, Mo. when Jack Kankiewicz and a high school friend were first inspired to make their own band. Several members came and went over the next few years, but by the fall of 2020 Jack, Owen, David and Jackson were committed and ready to start cranking out music.

The aspirations of the Cold Shots are simple but motivated: make killer music and play it for anyone that wants to listen. The Cold Shots' style of alternative rock draws inspiration from the diverse group of music legends John Denver, Wilco and Bach. With one album out so far and more to come, the Cold Shots are dedicated to perfecting this sound and delivering top-shelf rock to a growing audience.
